Step-by-Step Installation & Safety Protocols

Installation requires standard tire changing tools. Remove the front wheel and extract the valve core to deflate the tube. Unseat both tire beads, loosen the rim lock, and lever the old tire away. Clean the rim surface and rim strip. Lubricate the StarCross 6 beads with soapy water. Note the directional rotation arrow on the tire sidewall, insert the tube or mousse, and push the valve stem through the rim aperture. Work the lower bead onto the rim, followed by the upper bead, keeping the opposite side dropped into the deep center well of the wheel. Inflate until the bead seating line is uniform on both sides of the rim, set operating pressure (12.5 to 14.0 PSI), and secure the rim lock nut to 12-14 Nm.
